There’s
a saying that talks about how you “can’t live with ‘em,
can’t live without ‘em”. But this is definitely
not how it is with these poker hands. Any poker player, in fact,
would truly be happy if they’re dealt with these hands. Learn
more about the hands that only the best skills and the blessing of
Lady Luck can deal you:
The best poker hand of all times would probably have to be the
royal flush. It consists of the cards A, K, Q, J and 10 and all
must be of the same suit. The odds on having this hand are very,
very minimal so do your mama proud when you do get dealt with such
a hand. Only the most inept of poker players will still be able
to bungle with a hand like this.
Straight Flush – The second best poker hand you’ll
probably ever hold between your fingers. It’s composed of
any set of five cards that’s in consecutive order with no
skips (6, 7, 8, 9 and 10) and that belongs once more in the same
suit. If you and other poker players have straight flushes, ranking
will be determined by judging the value of the highest card of
the hand. If, for example, both of your straight flushes are from
6 to 10, with one having it in a suit of hearts while the other
one is in spades, the suit of heart naturally wins over the one
in spades.
Four of a kind – This poker hand is composed of four cards
of the same value or number (eg. 4, 4, 4, 4) or possessing one
specific card value in all suits.
Full House – A trio matched with a pair. The trio is naturally
composed of three cards of the same value (whichever combination
of suits do not matter) and a pair of cards, again of the same
value. An example of this particular poker hand is Q, Q, Q and
9, 9. As ranking is determined by the three-card-set, the only
full house hands that can beat this is those with a trio of kings
or aces.
Naturally, poker hands like the royal flush, straight flush and
four of a kind can always beat a full house. A skilled poker player
can however win several hands with just a full house.
There are other poker hands that you can be dealt with like three
of a kind but the four poker hands mentioned above are the most
important. But remember, nothing is always foolproof so even with
the best of poker hands, don’t let your emotions get the
better of you.
