you were a kid you always wanted to make a career out of poker. Therefore
you make the best effort to practice every time and be well learned
about the best strategies. However when the time finally arrived
that you are now entering the world of poker things didn’t
seem like the way you predicted. It seems that no matter how great
your hands are and how well you bet and bluff, you always lose. It
seems that you’re dreams are just being flushed out. No pun
intended.
You may not realize it, but as an eager greenhorn, you may just
have been cheated. Let’s face it, every once in a while we
all fall down from our stupid mistakes. But if we can learn to
prevent it, it would be better. Here are some ways to categorize
some poker player cheaters.
• The card mechanic- the person who specializes in card
manipulation like sleight of hands. This person has very quick
hands where he or she will usually stack the deck or switch the
cards.

Bottom dealers/second dealers – these people will put the
highest card on the top or bottom of the deck and won’t give
you the highest cards. His aim is to give the card to himself or
his teammate. The second dealers are people who will take a peek
at the 1st and 2nd card on the deck. Just like the bottom dealer,
he or she will not give you that card if it is a good one or if
it could benefit you. It is easier to be a bottom dealer than a
second dealer.

There will also be players that will mark cards called paper players.

A player that is good in switching cards is called a card mucker
•
A card cheater that uses mechanical things to cheat is called a
machine player. One example of this is the hold-out players. They
have a mechanical device that helps them hold out a specific high
card that they will hide or hold in their device. They will then
use the card when they see that it will be to their advantage.
They can also switch the cards with a card that they see may be
better.
•
A traveling hustler or a person who specializes in cheating casinos
is called a cross-roader.
•
A person who cheats while making rude noises is called a triple
fucker.
Try to learn more about these people and try to avoid them. As
much as possible, if you are a beginner play with your friends
and those places where your friends recommend. Don’t immediately
rush in the big game, it’s important to learn slowly rather
than lose money faster.
